What can I do to remain in the military given that I can't go to NCOES and I have the 8k bar?

I am AGR on my first tour and I can't do my REFRAD. I had surgery 6 months ago and because I can't go to NCOES school I have the 8k bar. Now I know that when my orders come up at the end of the month I will be out of the AGR program. I want to stay in but don't know what path to take. At this point any help is greatly appreciated. But What can I do?

Your 8K bar is because you didn't do your SSD, not because you haven't been to ALC yet.
You can reapply to AGR or just talk to an AD recruiter.

I’m running into a similar issue. Although I’m active duty; I was set on ETSing so I didn’t finish my SSD2. Life changes, I want to re enlist but have to finish that SSD2. It’s relatively easy if you do the modules and test in one sitting. Best of luck to you.

Just complete your SSD. It is a pretty simple course to knock out. I don't understand why soldier just don't knock out there SSD and then going to NCOES falls on to your unit to slot you and it doesn't fall onto the soldier unless you decline to go to school.

Oh no, is not that I don't want to do it but I don't have BLC and I can't do the SSD 2 if I am not done with BLC so there is no time.

SGT (Join to see) - oh did you pick up before Step program was put in place? I thought it was mandatory WLC/BLC to pick up Sgt. If not then you loose your stripes within a certain amount of time.
