Single new soldiers in the Army don’t get BAH. You’re lucky to get BAH as a single E5 in the Army.

Looks like the military got a couple of small pay raises since then. Would the $87.90 last you the whole month?

SFC Jason Evans - I forgot to mention my dear old Dad made me take out an monthly allotment of $ 25.00 (absolute truth on the heads of my grandchildren) said it was to keep my room open! As for the rest didn’t really get much chance to spend much off post due to accelerated training and at the time Seattle/Tacoma area was pretty dull and dreary, oldest strippers I ever saw!

LOL!! That's a steep storage fee. More than 25% of your monthly income. Someone caught on and there is plenty for Soldiers to spend their money in the SEATAC area now. There're Casinos 10 minutes from base.

SFC Jason Evans -I visited the Seattle area many years after and couldn’t believe the change from the mid Sixties, all the high tech etc I wonder how LeesVille Louisiana outside of Ft.Polk has changed since my time there as Cadre, now that was a true old fashioned Army town.
