Exactly what SSG (Join to see) said. It was almost a full month after my ERB said SPC that I was finally pinned, kept on joking (partially serious) of just putting it on and my NCOIC made it clear that you dont do that because someone somewhere up the chain will get their panties in a wad of "breaking tradition".
I am all for the tradition, but if a soldier of mine ever had to wait that long I would be having them wear it, a week or two isnt bad because the company could be waiting for paper work or time/place to hold formation.

PFC (Join to see) interesting, I personally have always seen them be on the 1sts of any month. They may be waiting until the first to do it, if it doesn't happen this week then I would bring it up to you're first line as just a curious question. Honestly your first line may not even know cause it's the commander who signs off on the promotion, he should be tracking, but dont hold it against him if he doesnt.
Goodluck though and let us know how/when it goes!

WO1 (Join to see) thank you for the very useful information! I contacted my squad leader about it and he’s looking into it. I’ll post updates when the promotion happens.

I’d talk to my first line. Some commands like to do the pinning ceremonies and don’t take kindly to people doing it themselves regardless of what their ERB or LES says.
