I'm a SelRes & transferred from NOSC Roanoke to NAS JAX last fall. There isn't much presence on the AD side in the area but the SEL Chief Hooper is a great guy. I lived in Blacksburg, but I know some of the Roanoke guys would go to the American Legion in Salem or AmVets in Roanoke. I grew-up about an hour away from Roanoke & love it there. There is a JROTC program that uses the NOSC there if you were interested in continuing to serve in that capacity.
