Should have been reduced to E-1, forfeiture of all pay, and a firing squad!!! Pedophiles do not deserve to breath air!

I mean, according to Article 120 of the UCMJ, he could have faced Dishonorable discharge, forfeiture of all pay and allowances, and confinement for 3 years. That's not even considering that it was a minor.
He got off way too easy. These are the people that need to be focused on when it comes to "force reduction". I'm all for maintaining the standards and kicking people out who fail to meet even the minor ones, but when you retain people that are actually convicted of things like this, you do a discredit to not only the Army name and the United States, but every service-member who has ever served and held up the standard, to every service-member who has ever been kicked out for something petty.
It saddens me to see this when this past summer working at AT as a Paralegal, I had to assist in the administrative separation of a LTC with 32 years in service for failing two PT tests. This man was a very dedicated service-member who even gave up his opportunity of retirement instead of honorable separation just at the possible chance of staying in and serving 2 more years.
Makes me sick that this guy is only being confined for 2 and a half years, yet still gets to come out of prison as an E-4.

He only got 6 months confinement according to his plea deal.
But yes, I think he should have a BCD at a minimum. They didn't say anything about registering as a sex offender either.

My sympathies really go out to the child, and makes me wonder why this guy isn't in jail for a long, long time.

SGT Clayton Ferguson - This reminds me of that crap SMA McKinney pulled. He got a slap on the wrist (demoted to MSG and allowed to retire). This latest incident proves the Army hasn't learned much in the meantime

1SG Michael Blount - I truly wish the army could go back to being the army and not a political mouth piece. I joined for one reason. the army was supposed to a place where everyone was equal and you were judged by your actions. Sadly I wonder if it ever lived up to those ideals. By best time in the army was when i was an E-5 and could act as an umbrella to protect my junior enlisted from the BS that always trickled down and could reward them for the efforts they showed me. my last squad was the best one i was ever apart of. Rooms clean, worked hard, did there jobs and loved to learn. Yet i couldn't get my unit to get off there cases with mandatory room inspections ever morning.
