If you’re a good salesman, yes. Otherwise I’d volunteer to invade hell before I ever went to recruiting duty. Transportation NCO’s that I worked with like the independent nature of the truck driving life. They wouldn’t make good recruiters. Unfortunately if you’ve been selected there isn’t anything you can do to get out if it. Wishing you the best of luck.

Recruiting is very demanding, but rewarding. Do you enjoy really connecting with others? Do you like finding out how you help others! If so, then recruiting may be for you! You have to be willing to go where the applicants are - and really manage your time. If you are good at both of these - go for it!

I volunteered for DI School, I would have volunteered to burn shit for a tour of duty, before I went to be a recruiter, career ending in the 70's
