I'm looking to re-enter, I have the ball rolling with the recruiters, and was wondering if a Career Counselor was able to help me out?

Go to this group and search through the members to find someone and/or post a question to the group. Be specific about what type of assistance you need when you ask for help. Good luck!

No, recruiter and career counselor work on opposite sides of the fence.

I'm tracking that SFC Boyd. To specify my inquiry, I'm looking for information on MOS and Grade slots which Career counselor have access to and recruiters do not. I would very much like a opportunity to retain my MOS if at all possible and would like to have all my ducks in a row before heading back to MEPs.

SGT (Join to see) - only the MEPS can tell you whether they will allow you to retain your grade and MOS. The strengths of the MOSs are publicly available on the IN/OUT Calls. But that doesn't have up to date information of the projected strengths and slots after training like the MEPS has.

Thank you for your help and insight SFC Boyd. It is greatly appreciated! Hopefully I can retain both.

Just for clarification-- SGT (Join to see) , are you looking to join Reserves, or Active?
SFC Boyd is correct if you're going for Active.

SGT (Join to see) If you are in the IRR and interested in joining the Reserves an Army Reserve Career Counselor can assist you as well. If you are going Active then Recruiter is the way to go.
