I was never a Spec 5. I was in when the Army made the switch and deleted all but the Spec 4 ranks, but I was a PFC at the time. I went to Spec 4, Corporal, then Sergeant. Any idea how to change it?

Agreed. I was just wondering why I am listed as a Spec 5 when I have never held that rank, and was not eligible for that rank by the time I was promoted because it no longer existed. I wonder if anyone knows how to get your rank listed correctly.

Did your MOS call for a specialist? I made E-5 but as Sp 5. I was acting jack before I made it they kept me on as E-5 acting jack go figure. 2 years after I got out I had to go to summer camp, that is the only time I wore my Sp 5 rank. I was 63C light wheel and track mechanic.

To be clear, there were no Spec 5's when I was in, other than when I was a Private. In 1986, the year I made Sergeant, their were no Specialists in the Army at all, other than Spec 4. I made Corporal, then Sergeant.
