It's always good to acknowledge service when the brass are on deck. We got called back out for Haiti after a hard cruise with 24 MEU. The CNO and entourage flew out, and later the CMC. We wrote a Corporal up for his actions in quick fashion. 1st Sgt told him to fall in and the CMC Gen Mundy presented him with a NAM aboard the USS Trenton. He's a retired MSgt in Ordnance now and later received a PH in Iraq. It's the least we can do. Cook while the fire is hot. This Airman will never forget.
