As infantrymen what are some of your favorite duty stations ?

Based off training, how good the unit was, outside/on post activities and the area surrounding the post what were some of you guys favorite duty stations as 11b/11c's ? right now im considering Bragg, Benning, Hood for conus and Italy/Germany for Oconus. Give me some of your suggestions

Eh i got used to the cold when i was there on a rotation last year, at least it got my body used to the cold from the states lol

I'm not an infantryman, but I've worked in combat arms my entire career. Some of the best assignments from my peers were Italy, Bragg, Richardson, Benning, Hawaii, Eglin and Hunter AAF, Drum and Campbell.
The first three you aren't going to unless you're Airborne.
Eglin you need to be Ranger qualified. Hunter is 1/75 so you need to pass RASP.
Hawaii because of location. Benning because of the small unit and all the schools available.
I don't know why Campbell but people who have been there love it. As for Drum, most people who have been there said the area sucks but the leadership and unit were outstanding.

SFC Boyd, people like Ft Campbell because it's in Kentucky :^). I'm one of those the like Campbell. Arguments aside about Airborne or Air Assault, the 101st is a damn good unit, gets those training dollars, and it's very active. The base was always decent and has recently underwent a lot of renovation. And there is lots of stuff to do in the area.
One that I've seen come up a lot by those that were stationed there is Ft. Irwin. While I certainly appreciated my augmentee time there and the training is top notch, I wasn't impressed with the post at the time. I live in the edge of Appalachia Coal country, which is pretty depressed, but I still thought that Barsow was the armpit of the Nation.
No an Infantry post, but I give Ft Leonard Wood good marks.

CPT Lawrence Cable my little brother was in the 101st for years and he absolutely loved it. I went to visit him a few times and I just couldn't bring myself to like the post. But they definitely produce some excellent Soldiers and leaders.

I was in Alaska as an Infantry Air 1st Calvary Reconnaissance. Rappelled from huey's,
mountaineering, glacier climbing, cold weather training and the sights of Alaska was huge. The wildlife was magnificent! The best tour for me.

To be politically correct it was Troop E, 1st Calvary 172nd Infantry Brigade. The 425 Abn. may have been at Ft. Richardson Alaska?
