LCDR (Join to see) Back in my day, Warrants were only selected from the CPO Ranks, and had to have been in for at least 16 years service, and a Chief for at least 3 years. If selected they went right to W-2 (full commission). W-2 pay was higher than the CPO pay. There were no W-1's because a chief made more than the w-1 rank. No incentive to apply.
