Fellow Veterans. I had a great phone call with the head of "Lima Charlie News" last week. Very interesting group that is looking for US & International Military Veterans who would like to exercise their freedom of speech. Coming up on their one-year anniversary, they provide news and analysis by military veterans & active duty service members from around the world.
Whether you have published multiple times, have never published an article—but always wanted to, or you want a reason to interview another veteran for a podcast, just give them a shout.
They really do want to encourage, educate, and mentor veterans who desire to write and have a great team. Check out their site and breadth of reporting. They accept articles of any size, about nearly any topic, including National and International news, Foreign Policy, Politics, Science & Tech, Economics, Environment, Travel, Food, Health, Media, Culture, National Security and Veteran’s issues.

Jacqueen, I run executive education program (1-2 week programs) here at Harvard Kennedy School and I've been working veterans on how to use their GI Bill to come to our programs. One of the veterans that came through here mentioned that he was writing about PTSD and had published on their website. Next thing you know, I'm having a conference call. I was so impressed with what they are doing for veterans--at absolutely no cost--that I wanted to help them push out the word. Definitely worth a try, and publishing something looks good on your resume!
