It's sage advice, but I doubt the Democrats will take it. They have raised a whole generation of people to focus more on feeling good about themselves than on becoming competent thinkers and doers. To them, politics is demonstrating, and demonstration means screaming and throwing tantrums. Winning at politics means shouting louder than your opponents, and maybe beating them up. Venting all that anger and hatred feels good, which is why they're not going to give it up. Fortunately for the rest of us, it's not very persuasive.
