I guess you are right! I used to have a thousand rounds of AK-47 7.62 by 39 ammunition. I used to have an SKS rifle with its spring loaded bayonet, and AK-47 Sporter from Hungary and a 9 m m pistol. I had an 80 round drum at about 4 banana clips for my AK-47 Sporter. I guess I would have looked like a terrorist as well. Stupid California didn't care about my AK-47 Sporter but they sent me from their doj asking me if my SKS had a detachable magazine? They cared more about the SKS and not the AK-47. I suspect this Coast Guard officer was involved with some criminal activity. Time will tell.

PO3 John Wagner no, I'm not jealous. I get to fire the 9 m m next week when I go to drill. After being a tank commander, platoon leader, and being a veteran in two Wars, I really don't mind if I drive a 2010 Dodge Caravan while my wife drives the Dodge Challenger. I'm just grateful to be alive and there is no ego to bruise. I'm a lieutenant colonel last year and I'm retiring in three years. I am grateful for what I have and what I have accomplished. I am not resentful for not having these weapons anymore.

Oh there are already all sorts of laws out there which only need slight alteration to fit the bill. There are plenty of illegitimate legal confiscation schemes in action.

It had crossed my mind. Especially since the story seemed to come and go as,quick as a wink. A trial balloon perhaps?
