Tulsi Gabbard is correct in her assessment and answer.
Mayor Pete isn't wrong in his assessment either, but as to what to do about it, Mayor Pete wants to keep US forces in Syria indefinitely, and I can't agree with that.
What we should have done differently is communicate clearly with our Kurdish allies what our objectives were and when we would withdraw. The betrayal is doing it by surprise.
