You should have seen this site when there were 30 posts a day about how awful Hillary was. I fear that there is no going back.

With all due respect to him, Scaramucci doesn't know what he is talking about.
He is just looking for and getting attention for himself and his book.

Capt Gregory Prickett - No, that is not what I am saying, and I think you know it. But just in case, what I am saying is that the House is on record three times, most recently in July, overwhelmingly rejecting an impeachment investigation or articles of Impeachment, depending on which vote you look at. Yet the House is doing it anyway, against the on the record will of the House. Seems to me that another vote is in order, or the investigations are "something less" as the White House maintains, and they may use standard priviledges since it isn't really an impeachment investigation. Calling it such doesn't make it so, especially if the legislative body charged with the power of Impeachment is on record against it.
Should be an easy vote, because Nancy has the votes, right?
Then they can go back to what they were doing, without the need to play some kind of weak sauce parliamentary rules game. If things stay as they are, there is a lot of likelihood that the SCOTUS has to start getting involved, and who know where that would go. I think that COA should be avoided and the power of Impeachment not be messed with.

Capt Gregory Prickett - Whatever, man. You are jerking me around on purpose. You know what I'm talking about, and pretending it is something else.

Capt Gregory Prickett - My concern is on process. What I am saying is that the House is on record voting overwhelmingly against an impeachment inquiry, a mere three months ago. Yet, the leadership of the majority went forward with it anyway. Granted, new information came out in the interim, but it seems to me that without a vote showing that the sense of the House have changed, they are proceeding against their own recent vote.
As far as what comes out of this, I am open minded that something might develop out of this that supports impeachment. However, I am mindful that the crowd advocating this course of action has been advocating for it since before the man even took office, and bullshit story after debunked conspiracy from those same people has been sucking up all the air in DC for three years. It is possible that there is something legitimately impeachable in this, but I am deeply skeptical as the credibility of all sides in this saga have been deeply compromised throughout.
Everyone's guiding star has been political throughout, which means that most likely that guiding light will continue to guide them as they chart their course. With that in mind, as I have been consistently saying for months, I calculate that the political will to go forward is dubious in the House (with real consequences for several House members) and absent in the Senate.
Investigating this is not a waste of time, as the truth is always a worthy pursuit. But reality is there is no chance they successfully impeach this President, and unless they manage to land a real punch here, it is likely to strengthen Trump in the upcoming election when he "wins" out on Impeachment and his opponents are demoralized.

Their hate for Trump is causing them to make very bad decisions.
