I believe dealing with the source of the tragic police involved incident with George Floyd is a proactive and appropriate stance by officials. In taking this approach, the excuse for violence and near civil war is taken away. Hopefully, the previous cities across the country will, if they have not already, work in tandum to address this pressing issue of racism in execution of law enforcement duties. As the internal strife in the country is addressed and resolved, we do not continue to place our active duty comrades in harm's way, around the world, on the back burner of concern.
