Good article, and good recommendations. Now, if only PC Mag would recover their website from the morass of loading a million external scripts/trackers/etc. that slows the site to a crawl...

uBlock Origin, Ghostery, and Privacy Badger are decent plug-ins to help with that.

That was with uBlock on Chrome. Same on FireFox was nearly as bad, but at least I was still able to read the site, while Chrome ate up several GB of memory just on that one tab before I closed it from freezing. PC Mag has been a problem site for some time, and I've noted that on multiple systems with widely divergent settings, so it's not just one PC at issue.

It's still a good article; I just wish the site would stop being so horrendous.
