The Berlin Victory Parade of 1945 was held by the Allies of World War II on 7 September 1945 in Berlin, the capital of the defeated Nazi Germany, shortly after the end of World War II. The four participating countries were the Soviet Union, the United States, the United Kingdom and France.

Recall watching a TV show on the end of war including this parade on PBS or elsewhere. The narrator either said or suggested this was the start of the Cold War when Russia paraded their brand new next generation tanks in public for the first time. The tanks are huge compared to those WWII models paraded by the allies. Very ominous to say the least. (the same thing was stated in the link you provided now that I read it)...
