LTC (Join to see) One evening at NTC, I borrowed the General’s driver and went to a range where 4.2s were firing.
As I chatted with the Lt ? , the driver wandered down to the firing line and as an 11B was allowed to Drop a round!
As he drive back to main post, SPC Beckman was so excited he wouldn’t stop talking.
Driving for the General did not allow him such latitude!

I did hang a 12O mm Mortar Round at one time. I was assigned to an 11C Mortar team as a Platoon Leader and QRF at Dugway Proving Ground Utah in 2003 and 2004 during Operation Noble Eagle 3 Title 32 Homeland Security. I can't find the picture at the moment but here is a shot I took in Utah. Notice the Mortar baseplate was going into the ground with all the charge 4 shots at max range.
