I have the honor of hearing Gen James, Brig Gen Olds, and Col Day speak at dining outs during my career. Heroes all.

I actually got to meet the tenth airman on this list, MSgt George Cater. I met Col. George "Bud" Day on a three day cruise to the Bahamas out of Port Canaveral, FL in JUL92. The Legion of Valor was conducting their annual meeting on the cruise, and Col. Day was the keynote speaker for their dinner meeting (and, of course, a member). I introduced myself, and he graciously invited me to the dinner and presentation, which I immediately accepted and then attended! He signed a copy of his book "Return with Honor", which I have to this day.

What about Colonel John Boyd (USAF) or Brigadier General Robert Scott (USAA). Couple of iconic figures that were missed.

Outstanding honor. I don't know how but I got to meet 6 USMC MOH recipients during my active years. One was my RSM in 3rd Marines, one I was his G-3 Chief in 4th MARDIV, one the MP ops chief at Pendleton and the others at ceremonies. Didn't give it much thought til later when I added it all up.
