Nick Earp, Wyatt's father, was our town marshall in Pella, Iowa. A young Earp sister is buried in one of four unmarked graves in Pella's Oakwood Cemetery. Wyatt left for the west with another family and their covered wagon went down Franklin St. past the log cabin which became my grandparent's first home when they got married. The Earp home became the first building in the Pella Historical Village.
