1. Keep your mouth shut (most of the time)
2. Realize that you know nothing (and everyone else knows it)
3. Don’t ask a thousand questions [wisdom]
4. Be a sponge (soak up knowledge) [wisdom]
5. Don’t ever assume that you know more than anyone else [wisdom]
6. Respect seniority [wisdom]
7. Respect traditions [wisdom]
8. Be ready for good-natured ‘hazing’ (but don’t put up with ridiculous shit)
9. Do not make excuses [reasons yes, excuses no]
10. Volunteer to do shit jobs [jobs that nobody else will do help form character and develop humbleness as well as accomplish required tasks.]
