On NPR yesterday (paraphrased):

Governor Abbott of Texas is claiming without evidence that the Biden administration is sending migrants with COVID into his state.

(and they are wrong, BTW - there IS evidence: https://www.borderreport.com/hot-topics/immigration/dozens-of-newly-released-migrants-test-positive-for-virus-hundreds-of-border-agents-are-south-texas-bound)

Also on the SAME NPR report about 2 minutes later:

The Biden administration has tried to send funding to Texas communities to help them test these migrants for COVID.

Now... I am not a scientist. Nor am I a statistician. But... Even using a relatively low incidence rate of 1 out of every 100 - and crowded areas with low sanitation such as the camps on the other side of the border are likely to have MUCH higher incidence rates - releasing 10,000 migrants "into the wild" is likely to also send approximately 100 COVID infected people into the state. And if they are not tested PRIOR to release, but the administration is trying to send the communities funding to do the testing themselves, how in the hell can anyone argue with a straight face that no one with COVID is being released into Texas?

And how is sending the community money for testing a solution? The community still has to deal with the COVID that YOU SENT THEM, Biden. Which means not only dealing with the infected migrants you sent them, but ALSO with the community spread that YOU CAUSED Biden.

But hey, it's just a Red State. No worries. We can blame the ensuing COVID spike on Abbott removing the mask mandate.
