After I had my cardiac stint put in the wife has me on a low purine diet. No pork (no bacon), no shell fish (no shrimp), only 4 ounces of red meat a week (no internal organs, liver, brains, heart). Chicken, Turkey, and fish other then Trout are OK. I lost 25 pounds I went from 185 down to 160 which is about right for my age and height 5'6". My stamina has increased but because I'm on blood thinners due to my stint I bruise easier and cuts take longer to coagulate and heal. I have to be on blood thinners until June of 2020. Time flies when your having fun. LOL
