Yes so on this item. They should have stuck with the original advice. This is a mistake because most Americans do not know how to wear the mask properly and sealed against the skin so in my view it is largely useless to wear one. However a number of women mostly have been writing in and saying they wanted to wear a mask if the health professionals were wearing one. So you will see a lot of folks running around with improperly fit masks with a false sense of security that they have been protected when in fact they have rendered the mask useless by improper wear. So I am not sure this helps any.

Additionally, the general public can buy and wear the N95 mask without it impacting health care workers because health care workers only wear the perfect condition masks set aside for them. The general public can be sold the N95 masks that are reconditioned (marked as "used") or have minor cosmetic damage to them and they are sold on Amazon. I don't think the term "used" means someone has worn them, suspect it means the package was opened or damaged in shipment or the masks have cosmetic damage that does not impact their operation.

Sgt (Join to see) - I have no problem with that..........all I am saying is make sure you wear the mask properly, otherwise you are throwing away whatever benefit it provides and it is roughly akin to wearing a tin foil hat. N95 masks are what are preferable because they are more than just cloth, you can see by looking at them.

PVT James Strait - The type of mask matters and how well it fits matters. N95 are being used by health workers because they catch the smaller water droplets that this virus travels on. Brief explanation and overview of N95 below:

CSM Charles Hayden - Well you used to be able to buy from Milwaukee Electric Tool but the hoarders just hit all the supplies since yesterdays announcement and they are all out of stock. 3M was not the only producer, it is just the highest quality producer that surgical rooms prefer. Milwaukee Electric's was just as good as 3M. ACE Hardware still has them in stock but you have to drive to the store to buy they will not sell over internet due to hoarding:
