Great article - well written - great diagrams - and even great multi-media. This is a fine example of how to write history! Application of the story still holds true today - particularly the one critical aspect of how a larger well equipped force made a rag tag band into martyrs.

The Alamo is a great example of trying to defend a fortified position without support.
It would have been interesting if the Alamo personnel had taken to horseback hitting and running...
