LTC (Join to see) As with any "job" people are motivated by money and acknowledgement. The best employees are given a salary and equity in the success of the company/endeavor. If a bonus inured from performance, we would see many more efficiencies in the government and larger organizations that traditionally pay salary. Gamifying the earnings process would be a start!

LTC Ivan Raiklin, Esq. - One of the problems I have seen with government jobs is the way management positions are structured. As you point out efficiency is not in the mix. A government manager is paid based on how many employees report to them, many figure out early that they can complain about the work load not getting accomplished and hire more people and of course then they can ask for more money since after all they are managing more people.

LTC (Join to see) Great point! Never really considered it through that lense. That one is going in the ruck sack!

LTC Ivan Raiklin, Esq. - I've seen it and worked in those environments too long. I was "approached" in one government union job and told that I was making others look bad by doing too much work by myself. I made some snarky response and kept doing my job.
