Flight over Superstition Mountains in Arizona...Go "full screen". The photography is HD, the planes are gorgeous, and, most notably, it is shot as the B17 takes off from Falcon Field in Mesa, AZ and then flies over the Superstition Mountains to the east of Apache Junction and then on to Roosevelt & Canyon lakes on the east edge of the Phoenix valley.
Both aircraft are stationed at the Confederate Air Force hanger located at Falcon Field in Mesa where both aircraft were rebuilt. Falcon field is an old WWII training airport.
The backdrops are stunning. Music is from the mini-series, John Adams. Great combo.

I had to take a double take when I first read your post about WWII Bombers since you mentioned a B-17 when a B-25 Mitchell is clearly displayed in front of the much more modern helicopter COL Mikel J. Burroughs. The video reminds me of the WWII aircraft flights I witnessed flying down the Potomac River at low level towards Washington, DC last spring. It is always wonderful to see the iconic bomber planes which seem to float along and the fighter escorts which accompanied them in so many bombing raids.
