Parts are misleading.

For example, "The U.S. Space Command is currently housed within the Air Force, and the House proposal calls for it to become a separate service while still reporting to the secretary of the Air Force." There hasn't been a "US SPACE COMMAND" in fifteen years. They did away with that Combatant Command when they stood up USSTRATCOM and USNORTHCOM in 2002.
There is a Air Force Space Command, but that's just the USAF part of space, not multi-service, and their job is just to "Organize, Train, and Equip" USAF space forces.
The Joint mission to conduct Space Operations is under my unit, JFCC SPACE. That mission is in the Unified Command Plan for USSTRATCOM.

MAJ (Join to see) It doesn't surprise me. Thanks for the clarification. So if Space Corps becomes a reality, would you be laterally transferred?

Sir, you know we have Functional Area (FA) 40?
It contains both US Army Astronauts (MOS 40C) and Space Operations (40A) like me.

MAJ (Join to see) - I do, but I'm just an old Infantryman turned MP who can do a Call for Fire but can't do any math above college algebra. My three year old son can play arcade games on his tablet. Me at three years old: here, hold my milk while I eat dirt.
