Something to consider by being an active guard reservist. You get all the active-duty benefits yet you lived generally speaking stateside not too far from your unit. Do you serve your country by being the backbone up an Army Reserve or National Guard unit such as a company, Battalion or Brigade. This is something to think about for those who get shot down for joining the active duty and you don't lose a stripe by being an AGR like you do when you go active duty from being a reserve or guardsman. Losing a stripe to me is a crock of crap!
