2 soldiers injured in Afghanistan IED blast

Two U.S. soldiers suffered minor injuries in a bomb blast near Jalalabad, Afghanistan, Operation Resolute Support officials reported Monday via social media.

Names, ranks and unit information for the soldiers was not immediately available. The soldiers were on patrol at the time of the incident, according to a post from the official Twitter account of Resolute Support:



The injuries come about two weeks after five U.S. special operations troops were injured in southern Nangarhar province. Jalalabad, the province's capital, is in the province's northern region.
