Thanks for sharing SGT (Join to see) images of military working dogs with their handlers along with images of soldiers with a baby kangaroo, a kitten, a goat, a turtle, etc. Some of the photos were take during WWII with others being taken during the Vietnam war it seems.

That is what I thought. One hears many stories of those who had pets in WWI and WWII.

Our B-52 crew had a pet gecko in our trailer at Utapao. Would actually come outside with us during the day and come back in when we did. We actually inherited it from the crew that had trailer before us and we passed it along to the next crew to move in.

That is awesome. It is amazing what connections we make with other living things. I saw a video the other day with a doe and a dog snuggling. The natural instinct would be for the dog to kill the deer and the deer to avoid the dog, but apparently they were raised together for a long time.
