2016 Army vs. Navy Football Game | Maryland Sports

Someday, Army will win. This Saturday is not that day. To be honest, I really do feel bad for Army sometimes since they have apparently forgotten how to win against Navy. It is really sad to realize that the last time Army won, nobody could celebrate on Facebook, upload the game-winning touchdown to YouTube, or tweet out their congratulations via Twitter.

Sorry SGT (Join to see) Much as the Army did a great thing by honoring the WWII 82nd Airborne on their uniforms, I still hope Navy beats them like a drum. That is to say, I hope it is a well played game with lots of emotion that showcases the great honor it is to attend a U.S. Service Academy. Been watching this game religiously since 1997, I still get misty eyed at the end of the game when the two cadet corps gather in the end zone and respectfully acknowledge each other with the Alma Mater for each school. It is a great tradition. So all these other rivalries can have their Paul Bunyon axe, clay pot, governors trophy, or whatever other silly trophy they want, Army Navy has tradition of mutual respect following the most heated game for each squad of the season.
