With the release of the FBI 2016 Uniform Crime Statistics, it is once again very obvious how our media, social networks, and legislators all fall for the knee-jerk reactions to crimes that while yes very newsworthy, in the real world of crime and causation have very little effect on the grand scheme of things.
There has been a big push since the Las Vegas mass murder to ban certain parts of rifles. Also, there have been the typical legislative reactions to “ban assault rifles” and other such bills. All of these are completely based on emotion and not on facts and a real look at the numbers and what is and is not really causing the murders we see in the news.

The left doesn't understand facts. Their argument is always one of emotion. "If it saves one child" is the most over-used emotional argument while they support every on-demand abortion is proof they don't really care. It's always been emotional manipulation for control.

I read somewhere that the USA is fourth from the top of countries with the most firearms deaths. BUT if you strip out the deaths committed by gangs, gang violence in general, as well as drug related firearms deaths then the USA is fourth from the bottom of the list. The only thing that will change our standings on this list is to restore "RESPECT FOR LIFE!" This precept has virtually vanished from our society in the inner city and elsewhere. We see this in the violence of games intended for mature audiences but are played by 13 yr olds. We all grew up with guns in the house. You didn't touch them unless you were going out to put some meat on the table. You didn't steal them from the neighbor and you damn sure didn't shoot the neighbor over a pair of Nike Tennis Shoes. God Bless the America I grew up in and the America it can still be if we all work together. God Bless all of you too!
