I think they went to war against each other. The difference is that the liberal msm have never been "hit back" by a GOP/conservative politician before. Not only has this POTUS counter-punched, he decided that strategic jabs weren't enough...he went full MMA brawler on them. Would I like for our POTUS to be more civil...more polite, sure. But, as long as the media continues it's nonstop tomfoolery, Pres. Trump should continue to hit hard.

The lame stream press jihad started the moment the President came down the escalator and has only gotten more and more vicious since then.

All very true. The 'media' have lost all credibility in the eyes of many for their continual one-sided attacks on POTUS, most of it fake news. Instead of limiting negative slant to oped pages, they have blatantly gone on the offensive in the so-called regular news and information pieces.

I think it is a reaction to provocations that started during the campaign. Small slights mean a lot to reporters for a reason. They always seem to complain about trivial things like not being fed on Air Force One on trips over 2 hours or not being briefed on everything that is going on. So news reporters are kind of a special class of people that expect to be treated better than joe public. When they aren't they resent it. The other item is news reporters (many of them) think it is OK to openly lie to get a story or otherwise impersonate people and the like. That type of behavior really pisses off POTUS but a news reporter sees it as sometimes necessary and all the time OK. So in my view a big part of this is a clash of culture between News Reporters and how POTUS is used to employees performing for him.
