Interesting WoPo has info about Russia activity.... If you commit a crime or intelligence operation, do you leave a trail? If you are one of the top cyber actors, like Russia...why would you not clean up your trail? Often, hackers set up the blame on someone else. I wonder if China did the hacking and China is laughing at the USA destroying any possible relationship with their major competitor. The country that really benefits from the Russian hacking is not Russia, but China. Russia did not change any votes, China created distrust and prevention of an alliance with USA and Russia. I see only China has the winner. Look up Titian Rain to see China capabilities, over 10 years ago.... I wonder if China think of USA as a bunch of dumb suckers...

Yes, China thinks that the USA is a bunch of dumb suckers. They have proven it time and time again. Can we say Sandia National Laboratories, Sandia Corporation, Los Alamos National Laboratory, and the US Government. Can we say 1999, 2006, and 2014.

No argument here. Time and again they have fielded new weapon systems that strangely resembled one of ours. They have been capitalizing on the permissive nature of our society for their R&D for years. We scoffed that China was a backwards country, years behind us in technology, while our enterprises profited from their penchant for our gadgets, luxury items, and capitalism. They laughed all the way to the bank. Chi Mak was just one of many.

Not just Russia, but China. Recent ransomware WannaCry has been attributed to N Korea. They're all doing it, including US. Recently we found that all voter records were obtained indirectly via a leak from firm linked to RNC, approx. 200 million. No hack required in that case. When are we going to wise up and start treating this more seriously?
