Drugs and alcohol are the liquid and pill cowardice they get to tune out of life. I know many have issues that were not caused by fault of their own. My sister commited suicde at age 49 and I am surprised on the number of people later in life who killed themselves later in life.

I feel sorry for them and their families. I was discussing here a week or so ago on RP that Lawrence of Arabia probably did not intend to kill himself but he was racing his motorcyle at a high rate of speed just like many vets do and this replicates their adrenalin high from combat.

LTC (Join to see) I had to park my bike because I could not keep it under 80 for any length of time. It was like flying a fighter plane in a world of cargo planes; I could start faster, stop faster, turn sharper, and fit through a smaller slot - and when I got up on the step at about 90 the buffeting became a smooth pressure and the engine took on a very seductive whine. I didn't have a speed problem like that in my car.

Capt Seid Waddell - this scene is the bike racing that many think many vets do today to get that same stress high in combat
