Is it any wonder the Koreans distrust the Japanese?

"The Japanese occupation of Korea began in 1910 and ended at the end of World War II in 1945. The Empire of Korea was stripped of its diplomatic sovereignty and declared a protectorate of Japan with the signing of the Japan-Korea Treaty of 1905. This came after the Russo-Japanese War in which Russia was forced to concede that Japan had “paramount political, military, and economic interest” in Korea. On August 22, 1910, Japan officially annexed Korea. "

Japanese were not "nice" occupiers of any country they took over. Sadly people tend to feel that countries and people will forget this history. This is a bad mistake. Thousands of years of history show that the actions of your predecessors will never be forgotten. Hence the ethnic issues we see throughout the world today.

Those were dark days for Korea which has long had a hatred for Japan SGT (Join to see). Those who mistakenly called a Korean a Japanese usually live to regret that insult.
