No particular occasion for this post, but I have sensed that more than just Navy folks use and are familiar with this term. Have you heard it? Do you still hear it in military or civilian life? I seem to hear it in civilian circles, but there are many Navy personnel at my civilian job and in my community. I use it in mixed company (i.e., people with Navy background and people without Navy background) and haven't heard anyone admit to not understanding it.
