LTC (Join to see) Beautiful. It is a Romance. The Sea is a Mistress that entangles You forever. In Calm Waters the Gentle Rocking of the Ship is like being in Your Mothers Womb Again. My Berthing was not far from the Bow and the Sound of the waves being pushed aside was a very calming sound to me. One of the Most Terrifying Sounds was when the Engineering Plant simulated a complete loss of Power Underway. You get so used to the sounds of the Ship that complete silence and bobbing up and down in Light Waves with No Forward Power is Terrifying.

Interesting chip that I thought of you as the first person that would probably like this story and prophetically you were the first person to vote up my story and give an eloquent description that emulates exactly what the story was saying about the love for the sea. The movie Dunkirk comes out in a few weeks and then itself as a horrible Navy Rescue Mission gone right. The horrors of war and leaving your Shipmates behind in the sinking ships because you don't want to jeopardize your own ship in these suicidal convoys. Be patient with the duplications of these short movie trailers. Just the terror of being a sailor or even being on the beach when attacked by stukas or other enemy aircraft on land in the ocean. Very horrible but exciting to see how it's recreated. The Navy Admiral had a logistical Nightmare and he did an excellent job I hope he was knighted for his job.

LTC (Join to see) Dunkirk when every Civilian Mariner came to the Rescue. It is a Calling. We are Sailors First. Our Mistress is the Sea. Our Second Calling is those that follow Us Down to the Sea. We Give a Damn about Your Politics. We Will Rescue You. We are Sailors First.
