PO1 Tony Holland Great article. So much true. We took our grandson this weekend for a day of adventure. We went to a science museum full of hands on exhibits, a nature trail, and a playground with water park. He wanted to play Pokemon Go. I was deflated. The worst was when it came time for supper, and he said "It's supper time, so I NEED my iPad." I couldn't believe it. I told him that he didn't need it, that we could color and talk like normal people. Then I realized looking around that 90% of the people at the restaurant we had taken him to were engrossed in their phones. I look at the Cell phone as a digital leash and necessary evil. When I leave it at home, I send an E-Mail letting people know I don't have it, then stop caring that it is gone. I wound up sitting at the table coloring by myself while my wife and Grandson played on her phone and my son played on his phone.
