A little more of this and we can consolidate the USMC and the USAF. The USMC have traditionally been the roughest, toughest branches, excluding SPECOPS disciplines. Now we have a common denominator.

We had a MTI who’d been in the “Corps”. And went to ‘Nam, when he. Did his tour He thought he was getting back to be an Instructor ..
it didn’t happen.. He came across 2 former boots that had been slackers he told us and he was forced to endorse them(he was a team member. He said just enough without saying they were stellar Marines . When he got over there He got with their platoon leader and told the Lt what he was forced to do.. And before he knew it he had orders too! So the Lt told them they got to be more of a team member, He’d just spoke with their former Drill instructor...and how he was forced to endorse them so the whole platoon graduated. The Lt. Went and contacted the former D.I. He got him to talk to the I.G. Well when he went back he found he was not welcome back as a drill instructor.
So He had a year left and worked on the firing range .. Then at re-up time they didn’t want him any more
So he cross serviced went to the AF Drill instructor school And eventually got his own flight. Ours was his 2d flight he’d Been in charge of.. He was determined to have no set backs and worked with everybody to give their 125% .. 52 started and 52 graduated and not a slacker in the bunch... we met at the base gym a lot on weekends.. doing a lot of weights .. a lot of running .. He showed us how to pace ourselves and our flight beat our sister flight and 2 other flights in P.T. There were 7 in our Flight that had R.O.T.C. We lost one to our Sis. Flight .to be their new dorm chief.. They lost 4 guys to setbacks after they got the new dorm chief and their MTI backed it up.. Them guys just didn’t have it together.. because they didn’t want to be team players.. they all went to motivation flight .. We had to do 1 KP.. when we got back from that we found we had best inspection which not only included our bks. It coved our class scores.. lowest was a 97 When inspector’s asked us questions when in formation.. we got them right.. Our MTI said Don’t Let them see you sweat ! .. Stan team tried to break us down .. no luck ..
Our MTI was consistently in our face.. We came out on top !

There seems to be a few snoflakes mixed in the ranks.. maybe the hazing was a ‘bit’ on the excessive side...
