A1C (Join to see) I was stunned. I have several questions. One, was this a hate crime or should it have been classified as a hate crime? For me as a career LEO, I would have filed charges as a hate crime and allowed the prosecutor to make his decisions from there. Probation for such a savage attack, act of disrespect, and injuries? This just seems off. I followed the story and noted the report of probation, in disbelief. One has to question why our justice system selects the low punishment it does in some cases and the high punishment it does in others. Lady Justice is blindfolded holding the scales of justice so that just is delivered from a fair and impartial as well as unbiased view.

It is bad since he was a vet, but even if he was not these three men should have been tried for attempted murder and they may have said something racial, but it would be hard to prove. All three should have gotten 10 years each at a minimum. The reason they keep doing this kind of stuff if because our judicial system just lets them back out. I guy with a joint gets 5 years, but you beat a man to near death and you get probation. WTF?
