This is odd. I thought or we were told by various anti Trump supporters here on RP that all LGBT persons would be placed in camps most likely without the internet. So this Judge is just wasting his time.

That is how recruit training is considered by the left. And as usual, the timing is suspicious. End of the year and no time to analyze this edict.

Careful there! Port-o-"John" is a sexist term. Watch your pronouns, soldier! It is officially "Port-o-Potty!" Those who are particularly sensitive may prefer Port-o-Janet, or Port-o-Pat.

I'm just glad you all have access to the internet since net neutrality was tossed aside.

I'm pretty certain the Supreme Court will issue at least a temporary stay so they can hear arguments both pro and con.
Personally, I don't see a legitimate argument for transsexuals. The military has always had the authority to be selective about who can enlist as long as it is not based on certain criteria such as sex and race. Personal identity has never been recognized as protected.

Your comments make sense, but you can’t get the SCOTUS take anything non-emergency, unless we are in dire straits. If this holds up, stand by for a lot of lawsuits on force outs.

The Supreme Court would likely take this one even if it is a single Supreme Court Judge issuing the stay. The harm to the government, allowing the enlistment of someone the DOD has decided is not eligible for enlistment, outweighs the problems caused by a delay. Once the person has enlisted, the courts would be reluctant to force them to be removed from the service. If there is a delay in enlisting due to a stay, there is no harm.
