I had a student who had a TBI. It was necessary for him to use notes on tests. The other students didn't think he should be allowed to do that. What they failed to see is that he could function with notes because he had brain damage that affected his short term memory. In fact, he had little to no short term memory. He could pass with notes, but he never had higher than C's. He worked ten times harder than most students. He needed that aid to function, and he could with that aid. He is an example of someone who is working to overcome. I hold him in the highest esteem. MAJ Montgomery Granger

God bless you, SGT. Thank you for sharing that story. There are literally tens of thousands like it. When more people share similar stories we will begin to turn on the lights and reveal TBI hope for those who believe they are all alone. Hooah!
