Actually the shut down falls on those in office for 30 plus years, they know better but they play games. This particular shut down was planned for maximum political BS. As for the President being weak, that's a laugh to those of us who have been paying attention.

The problem is as soon as DACA is given amnesty then the push would be the dreamers, then those on expired visas. That’s what is important to democrats. Amnesty = votes. How about we take care of legal citizens first. I have no problem providing a pathway for those registered with DACA to gain citizenship. But I do not agree with a blanket amnesty. And that is what the democrats are pushing for.

Constitutional republic nice try, the declaration of independence doesn't contain the word DEMOCRACY for a very good reason. I would tell you to read the Declaration of Independence but I don't think you could handle it, to many big words and ideals. Do you have a secret password you use with your crying group?

If I ran my business the way Congress has for years, I wouldn't have a business. When you get down to it, most of the government still runs. As far as this one, it happened over one subject DACA and for me I DO NOT SUPPORT ILLEGALS OVER CITIZENS.

LT Brad McInnis - Not disagreeing the Dems are wrong. Just think there is a lot of blame on both sides. I wish we could lock them all in a room and say no one leaves for bathroom or eating until they come to an agreement.

Susan Foster - I agree 100%. The problem is that Congress hasn't really worked together for many, many years (yes way before President Obama). There has been no reason to, as they can say whatever they want about whatever issue, and there are no repercussions. They still get elected. I am now a firm believer in term limits. Some of these people are so entrenched in doing things the way they always have, that they couldn't come together for an agreement if their life depended upon it...
