The gullible can at least understand that the government is reimbursing travel costs for aides straight into his pocket.

The issue with this, the article itself makes it a "non-issue" with the statement "the President always travels with aides from the services". This is well known from administration to administration. The thing that makes this awkward is they stated in properties he still owns, so in a sense, he's still making money from.
I wonder how much was spent on gambling and strippers? They used gov cards and we all know those are used with the utmost in integrity....riiiggghtttt?

Personally, I took offense at those meal prices. Jeeeeebus. It's not just convenience that keeps him on his own properties. Remember that he also eased estate taxes.
