Lack of any moral upbringing and that pack mentality that as long as you get the respect and admiration from your peer criminals its OK to do it. They watch their dad smash windows in a store in preparation to looting said store during a riot. When the police cars arrive they smash those windows out too!

This is total disrespect for authority and is the degeneration of just another cycle of the human race.

This is what I had posted on my kids walls all their lives -

Parents think kids have rights.

Kid "You cant look at my cell phone - its mine!"
Todays parent response - Im so sorry I violated your privacy - but you dont talk to me and I just want to try and help you. Im sorry I looked. (WRONG)
Parents appropriate response - The heck I cant. I pay for it and you have no right to privacy as a child.

Kid "Get out this is my room"
Parents Today - Im so sorry - but I am here on the other side of the door if you want to talk.
Appropriate Response - MY ROOM - I pay the bills

My sons know that i have full access to their room, their email, their phone, their everything. Period. End of sentence. I say when they go, where they go and who they go with.

There is a reason recruiters called my son a unicorn. No arrests. No tickets. His pier group is boy scouts - he is an eagle scout. Good grades. High ASVAB scores and a Good MOS. I will stop wearing him like a boot the day I hand the job over to the drill instructor. He does joke he might get confused at times and call the DI mom....
