What a great article by a great patriot, entrepreneur and founder of ETAC/usveternsjobs.com, awesome veteran, and great member of the Whiskey Patriots and Board Member of Victory for Veterans Foundation; and great friend SSgt Terry Jenkins

That's why people like Terry Jenkins, Steve Durgin, Jim Jaeger, Doug Bolton, Charlie Brown, Cindy Crow, Stephanie Jones, Angelea Torn, Brian Flach, Michale Thorin, Sean Hakes, Ed Good, Matt Zien, LC Johnston, Shawn Jones, Beth Allsop, Dave & Becky Bray, Myself, and many others here on RallyPoint work so hard to help veterans.

PO3 Bob McCord It would be a great start if more people understand the laws we have and the intent of them in the first place. ** sigh **

(Join to see) The VA health system isn't one behemoth system in the way we think of it. There are 11 regional VA health systems with discreet directorships. The rest of the red tape comes from not having a simplified definition of "Veteran". Each conflict and era with differing benefits, VSO volunteers gumming up the works by filing poor paperwork and worsening backlog, and more. Convoluted problem with "NOT rocket science" solutions. Problem is: no change comes without pain -- human nature is to resist it to protect "our turf". What's the answer? I dunno, but give me Queen for a Year and I promise to iron it out, LOL.

SGT Randal Groover I think we, as a military community need to become a more cohesive voice as "We the People" whom the Constitution empowers as the governing parties of this nation. That same document does not recognize corporations as "People". If you didn't come across it, I'd love your views on this article that I wrote that I think might speak to your point?

Good evening my friend SSgt Terry Jenkins. To be honest your cover image reminds of something ANTIFA might do or some other radicalized group.
As a disabled Veteran whose disability was actually reduced without measurable improvement in my health I was intrigued at the title.
After reading through your post I, came to understand that the bold sentences referred to issues with the GI Bill "Over 82,000 veterans are awaiting housing payments, 1,000 veterans have gone more than 60 days without their checks and 10,000 have been waiting between 30 and 60 days."

Terry you are generally preaching to the choir. The Federal government is the least efficient method of providing services including funding to individuals.
The Federal government is best positioned for interacting with foreign government through diplomacy and military operations including international aid. Domestically, the Federal government is the logical choice for the national transportation networks and department of the interior and energy.
HHS is the largest civilian federal agency and has oversight and management of Social Security, Medicare, NIH, CDC, and Indian Health to name a few.
Medicaid is state distributed [The Medicaid program is jointly funded by the federal government and states. The federal government pays states for a specified percentage of program expenditures, called the Federal Medical Assistance Percentage (FMAP) .]

I submit that for the GI Bill to be more efficiently run and effective in timeliness, a block grant to the states based on number of veterans living in the state would be more efficient and effective than the current system. Annual authorization and appropriations could fund the program; however, biennial authorization and appropriation would make more sense IMHO. Regulations/laws need to be streamlined for states to reimburse other states when veterans reside in one and pursue education in another. Hopefully incentives would be built to have veterans attend school in their home state or neighboring states.

Thanks for mentioning me my friends COL Mikel J. Burroughs and SP5 Mark Kuzinski

My good RP fellow brother and brother in Christ our Jesus LTC Stephen Ford you had mentioned
“As a disabled Veteran whose disability was actually reduced without measurable improvement
In your health”. Were you referring to your ‘disability rating’ ?... If so...
A V.F.W. Services advocate from DEPT. Of VA. V.F.W. Can assist you with restoration of a rating or even a better rating if that’s what you need. I was looking to see if I could find the state service officer..
You can go to v.f.w.org and type in find a post close to you. Anybody can use a V.F.W. Post Service Officer/Advocate. So check into it and see what Can be done for you .
